Numerology Basics – Calculating Your Name
Write your full birth name across a sheet of paper. Using the chart below place the corresponding number beneath each letter of your name. You can do your married name or nicknames later as they have influence also, but when you first start you want to use your birth name.
After you have the numbers for your full name add up your first, then middle, then last names. For our example I am going to use the name Jane Marie Doe (yes, I know, real original lol).

Jane = 1 + 1 + 5 + 5 = 12 next we are going to add the two digits together to reduce them down to a single digit: 1 + 2= 3
Marie = 4 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 5 = 28 reduces to 2 + 8 = 10 uhoh! no worries 😉 reduce again 1 + 0 = 1
Doe = 4 + 6 + 5 = 15 so 1 + 5 = 6
Now we are going to take those three numbers we just did 3 + 1 + 6 = 10 and reduce to 1.
You will also notice you can simply add the entire full name all the way across and reduce it and get the same answer. The reason I broke it down this way is that you can also then look for secondary elements to Jane’s personality by looking at only her first name for example.
Either way you do it is perfectly fine. When we do a birth date we do it the same way. So lets say Jane was born November 15, 1980.
Her birth date would break down to 1 + 1 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 0 which = 26.
26 is then reduced by adding 2 + 6 to get 8.
